Christian Academy Purchases Fort Modular Classrooms

Posted on

A 39-acre, K-12 Christian Academy in Surrey (name not to be released), purchased 5 newly renovated modular buildings from Fort Modular.  The 5,000 square foot project included four 24 x 40 double-wide modular classrooms of 960 square feet per classroom and one 24 x 32 male/female double-wide modular washroom facility.

The modular classrooms were renovated to the client’s specific requirements, particularly the door and window placements in the assembled complex were crucial to meet a specific floor plan.  Renovations included new flooring, wall boards, new exterior cladding, new windows, new doors and a new roof.  Permanent foundations were constructed of engineered wooden block placed on a pressure-treated pad to ensure the building remained dry and would be easy to remove after its 20 year lifespan. The final modular building complex is all interconnected with decks and walkways to give it enduring appeal.

“The Academy are thrilled with the new buildings,” says Fort Modular principal Mark DePedrina.  “They appreciated the quick delivery and installation, as well as the high calibre of the buildings. In particular they were amazed that all 5 buildings were delivered and installed in one single day!”

Fort Modular Principal Mark DePedrina adds, “This school bought a modular classroom from us last year and were so pleased with the quality of our work and our ability to deliver, that they give us this much larger project in 2015.  We must be doing something right!”
