Fort Modular Acquires Competitor’s Assets

Posted on

Site-Buildings_logoEffective September 1, 2014, Fort Modular Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire all the modular building assets and customer contracts of Site Buildings Ltd., a North Vancouver-based trailer rental, leasing and sales company.

To meet current customer demand, Fort Modular recently sought to purchase a number of used units that could be refurbished to meet their customer’s specifications. Site Buildings Ltd. was one of the potential suppliers.

Site Buildings Ltd. has been servicing the modular building and trailer rental needs of customers throughout the Lower Mainland for 38 years. Site Buildings owner Tom Mason says, “It’s time for me to retire from the modular industry and pass this business onto the next generation. I’ve known the DePedrina family for years — it just made sense to sell all our modular assets and customer base to Fort Modular.”

Fort Modular principal Mark DePedrina says, “This new agreement not only helps Fort Modular meet current demand, it also adds more buildings to our inventory that can be refurbished for future customer orders. This was a very timely opportunity and it has worked out well for everyone.”

This new agreement provides Fort Modular with Site Buildings’ entire fleet of trailers, plus numerous rental agreements with customers throughout the Lower Mainland. This gives Fort Modular extra capacity to fulfill current and future orders for refurbished mobile offices and field offices.

Site Buildings Ltd. will be closing their trailer leasing and rental operation effective August 31, 2014.
