Fort Modular Expands: Triples Rental Fleet and Opens New Kamloops Branch
Fort Modular is seeing unprecedented demand for their portable buildings, including rental offices, steel containers, portable classrooms and complexes. To meet this overwhelming demand throughout British Columbia, Fort Modular has just completed a deal to effectively triple their fleet of rental offices and trailers to a new total of over 300 units.
“All of our current modular building inventory has been consistently 100% utilized and we continue to experience significant demand for more product,” says Fort Modular President Mark DePedrina. “We wanted to fill this need in the market and found an opportunity that could immediately bolster our rental fleet.” Fort Modular was able to broker a deal for 195 additional rental buildings, ranging from 8’ x 12’ wheeled offices and washrooms to 60’ x 60’ office complexes.
To manage this massive influx of rental buildings, Fort Modular is now opening a new branch in Kamloops, BC. Like their operation in Langley, BC, this new location will house an office and storage yard as well as a construction facility. The new Okanagan establishment will help Fort Modular better serve all of British Columbia with lower shipping costs from a central location. The Langley location will continue to serve the large and growing market of Lower Mainland BC.
“We now have a major influx of new rental buildings available for lease, rent or sale — FOB Langley or the Okanagan.”

Fort Modular has grown significantly over the last five years, since incorporating in February 2013, starting with a fleet of just one double-wide office. They quickly gained a reputation for producing and supplying quality work and gained particular attention for their renovated buildings that are like new but at a fraction of the cost.
Today, the company supplies new, renovated, and used modular buildings and steel containers to clients across Western Canada. They have supplied buildings to countless clients in a variety of industries, from school boards and construction companies to the famed Cirque de Soleil and the BC Lions.
The company provides multiple standard floor plans on their website which depict the types of designs that are now available with this recent expansion to their modular building fleet. Most of the new units are pre-owned and can be rented as is, or renovated and customized to suit the needs of the customer. Fort Modular also provides newly manufactured buildings on spec.
